Joseph Tangredi is a member in the Firm’s Labor and Employment Practice Group. Mr. Tangredi’s practice focuses on representing management in traditional labor relations, employment counseling, and employment litigation defense. He has successfully represented management in the hospitality, healthcare, and non-profit industries in labor relations, including in numerous arbitration hearings, mediation, and collective bargaining.
He has extensive experience in defending his clients against discrimination and wage and hour claims brought in federal and state courts and administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the New York State Division of Human Rights. An important piece of his work involves consulting management on how to comply their respective collective bargaining agreements, and federal, state, and local labor laws, such as the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, New York Labor Law, and the New York State and New York City Human Rights Law.
Mr. Tangredi regularly trains clients on navigating complex legal issues that management encounters in the workplace and how to maintain healthy employer-employee relations to minimize workplace disruptions.
Mr. Tangredi has been selected as a Rising Star in the New York Metro area from 2021 – 2024 by Super Lawyers.
